…or at the least the 2015 Women’s WCT held at Snapper Rocks in Coolangata, Australia. The event kicked off the season for both the men’s and the women’s tour. In spite of winning her first two heats, Carissa was feeling uninspired by the lackluster conditions at Snapper. In response, Matt Biolos (who was in Australia at the time) went to work and whipped up a few different options of small wave pick-me-ups. Eventually she settled on a 5’8″ 18.63″ 2.25″ Sub-Driver and went to work on the final day, taking down in succession Lakey Peterson, Tyler Wright and eventually current world champ Stephanie Gilmore in the final. On the men’s side Taj Burrow and Brasilian rookie Wiggolly Dantas made it to the quarter-finals to start the year off with keeper results.
