From Mayhem’s Blog:
So The Lucky Bastards and I went to Brazil.
The concept was to do a ResinWorks “tour” through Brazil, showcasing some over the top …Lost surfboards glassed by The Bastards.
Now our crew in Brazil does not hold back, and when they decide to commit to some thing… well, it really gets done. The first event was in Rio. Out in a big grassy field, adjacent to a horse racing track. On a clear and crisp night, with the “Cristo De Redento (Rios most notable object… A giant Statue of Christ atop a mountain) clearly visible in the distance, the boards were set up with a lighting system on them that was worthy of a Disneyland display. Celebrating the surfboard as art, like we have never before.
With a veritable “who’s who” of Rio’s surf and entertainment communities (including local professional athletes of various sports, TV personalities and models). It was one of the most, if not the most, impressive party ever associated with …Lost. I was dumbfounded. The Brazilians have always known how to have a good time and this night in Rio was no exception. Here are some photos to back up the claims.
10 boards, all built in Spain, at the Pukas factory, set up like paintings in a surrealistic, out door gallery.
All evening, there was a steady procession of girls posing with the boards. No one was complaining.
The Scene… not a bad place for a shin-dig.
This is Perdo “Scooby”. Hard charging free surfer, aspiring TV Personality and Long time …Lost Ambassador.
The Brazilians are very proud of their girls.
Lots of work went into these babies.
Scooby again, with Fernando, a great partner for our brand in Brazil.
Now this is how to be an expecting Mother. Hope thats non alcohol.
